BEST hosted a summit on community tourism in May, 2003 that demonstrated that businesses, non profits and many individuals are interested in this topic. BEST’s actitivies in this area have been transferred to the Handmade Institute for the Creative Economy, a new organization founded by Handmade in America , a pioneering organization in the community tourism field.
